About This Course
The Arabic & Persian Language course is for students who wish to understand the language of the Quran and the language of classical Islamic scholarship. Arabic is the key to reading the Quran and Hadith in their original form, while Persian (Farsi/Dari) opens the door to centuries of Islamic poetry and literature.
The Arabic module covers Modern Standard Arabic and Classical Arabic (Fus-ha) grammar using the Madina Book series. The Persian module introduces the script, essential vocabulary, grammar and conversational phrases of everyday Dari/Farsi.
By the end of the course, students can read simple Arabic texts, understand Quranic sentences, and hold a basic conversation in both languages.
